Seraphical Execution

Thu Dec 27, 2007, 1:08 AM
  • Mood: Angsty
  • Listening to: Epiphany from Sweeney Todd
  • Reading: Faust by Marlowe
  • Watching: Soukyoku
  • Playing: An Angel...or Perhaps, a Devil
  • Eating: Catnip! The kind for losing hairballs!
  • Drinking: A lot...Kidding!
Cars screech by as people busy themselves with shopping and lazy activities. Families go by shopping for gifts, lovers walk together in their joyous times, and business men run home to be with their families. The buildings are a strech of red and green lights, with the occasional yellowy gleem of headlights or lights inside buildings. As the snow begins to fall it leaves a gentle loveliness always found with the time of year. So jolly and cheerful for most.

But she can't help but feel betrayed by the beauty. All this gorgiousness isn't for her. She has no one to celebrate with. Her family gone, and friends with their families. She has no boyfriend since he cheated and left her. She has no reason for the season, as it were.

She sighes to herself, pulling her jacket tighter around her. Her breath shows before her as she makes her way back toward her apartment. She had nothing special planned as the businesses closed for the celebrations. Perhaps she would go home, have a shower, drink so coco, and go to bed. Merry Christmas, indeed. For once couldn't things go her way? Could she be happy and have her life just be her own again.

The black haired girl shivered, than sneezed.

"Damn it, now I'm getting sick," she groaned cursing her luck.

Suddenly something caught her eye. Car thrown like pillows as the thing crashed through them. That was all she could call the hulking grotesque beast, a thing. Police officers fired upon it but it did no good. Men and women screamed alike as the explosions grew in its wake. She couldn't move, even as the people around her ran for their lifes, or lost them. Just as the beast came, something caught her attention. A glimmer of light reflecting off a cold metal blade. She stared on as a being no taller than her burst from the flames and swung the blade, slicing through the beast's flesh. The being lept over the beast as it swung its claw, tearing through a building like butter. The being turned in midair and swung one final time, cleving the beast's head in two. She was alone as the beast slumped down, beheaded. Being turned away from her, its job done. Just as the being began to leave, the beast's arm came rushing for it. In a split second, no more than a blink, the being had kicked an offiecer's gun into the air, caught it, and fired, hitting a nearby car. The following was a blur of crimson and yellow as the flames over took the beast. It's last sound was a gurgled screech of pain, than silence.

She watched on as the being came through the fire, it seeming to part just for the person. As she stared, the new Christmas lights cast a glow on the person bringing them from the shadows. It was a woman, a beautiful woman with a sword in her left hand and blood staining her torn clothes. Her golden lockes glew on their own, with as if with no aid from the fire. Her crimson eyes burned into her as the woman walks towards her. It was like watching a beautiful angel rise from the depths of hell. Just as she grew entranced by this faux-angel, the woman dropped to the ground.

She felt her legs move on their own. Before she knew it she stood before the angel. Her eyes looked over the woman as the snow grew harder. Even above the sounds of the police sirens, she could hear a soft sound coming from the woman. This swordswoman, who had just slain such a terrible beast was snoring....

And to answer any questions about why I'm putting up these works in my journal it is simple. I need results and if I put up a journal it is more likely to get views than a deviation. That said, I want results, please! I'm putting these up, this one and the last - and perhaps more - to see which story has the greater results. The last one sucked so I went in another direction this time. So help me! Does this interest anybody? Or is this one shit as well?

Sorry, I forgot to explain in the last one. ^^;

And if any wish to know the girl that viewed the battle isn't entirely straight, she'd be bi in fact. I can't write a story strickly about straight characters, sorry. It's a stretch for me to have one be at least interested in men and be the main character. I'm not bashing, just explaining a fault in my creative process. I only know what I know, and can only guess or imagine so far. Like all my works this will have romance between two women, so that's a heads up.

This one will also be unlike most of the ones before it. It will be action pact, mild romance, monster-bashing, guns firing, swords slashing, and all around Western meets Samurai movie meets collection of monster movies meets (insert movie involving homosexual romance). That's the idea. If it sounds somewhat good, tell me. Hell, I will take any critism, unless I've told that person I don't care before. And I'm certain there's only one, so help me!

Why do you always post these as journal entries instead of Text Deviations?
